Topic 2 of the 2024/25 cycle of Wirral Section 11 and 175 is now live.

If your agency has not participated in the Section 11 audit before, please find information below and here on our website.
- Section 11 was issued under the Children Act (2004) and has been reinforced in Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018. Section 11 places duties on a range of organisations and individuals to ensure their functions, and any services that they contract out to others, are discharged having regard to the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Schools and colleges complete a similar audit called Section 175 (under Sections 175 and 157 of the Education Act 2002).
- The advice of the WSCP is if you are delivering services in a position of trust directly or indirectly to children and young people you must complete the Section 11/ 175 safeguarding audit.
Quality assurance and reporting of findings will commence shortly after the deadline date above. Please note that participation rate and compliance will be recorded and included in the published reports.
